Jolly green mommy.

My son took this photo today, at the open house of his summer academic program. He's six, so I must really look this tall to him.

Spacey decor.

I've created this wall hanging for my son's bedroom, which is decorated in a space theme.

Now at the moment, I am out of ideas for floorcloths and wall hangings! I still have canvas left, so I'm searching for inspiration.

More floorcloths.

I've been quite busy lately, and have not kept up with posting my newest projects.

Here are two new floorcloths. I finished the one with the big blue flower this week, and it is now in my library. The other one I made for friends last week. They hung it in the living/dining room area.

More murals.

Two more Matisse-inspired pieces. One on the landing outside of my son's bathroom, the other in the foyer...

Miscellaneous murals.

My house has walls that are oddly shaped, in tight corners, or otherwise difficult to decorate. I find that in smallish spaces, I tend to bump into pictures on the walls. The world is definitely not made for six foot tall people. My solution is to paint murals on the walls. Here are several I painted in the last few days.

The geckos are painted on the small wall leading to my bedroom. It is a tight, dark space, and I've tried several different types of wall hangings. I think the mural is going to work in the space.

On the stairway, I had originally thought of putting up a gallery of sorts. But the space is kind of tight and the paintings I had tacked up there seemed to get knocked off frequently--not a good sign. The Matisse-inspired mural I painted in its place is also kid-proof--good when you have a six-year-old around!

The dining room wall used to have a series of geometric paintings, but I could never get them to look right. I took them down, and painted a mural instead.

What gardens are made of.

This is my first "room-sized" floorcloth. I am very excited about it--it really wakes up the family room!

I still have touchups and sealing to do. The flowers and dragonflies work well together. This room leads to the patio and garden, so the theme is perfect. The swirls are abstract snails--every garden seems to have them!

A few of my favorite themes.

This is the second floor (wall) cloth I have made in my recent burst. I've got enough canvas to make one or two more. Then I think I'll take a break!

This one includes the gecko stencil I made, vines, which are becoming a part of my decor, and a sun, suggested by my son.

What would Henri think?

Henri Matisse is my favorite artist. This wallcloth is inspired by his work. Can you tell?

I love it so far. I'm going to hang it on one of the impossibly tall walls in my foyer.
